General Rules for all Competitions
Entries can only be received from fully paid up members of the club.
Entries must be no more than three years old.This is intended to promote recent photography and freshness in competitions.The Exhibition Secretary reserves the right to remove an entry or entries if he/she feels it falls outside the above criteria.
Entries can only be entered into one of the minor competitons.The only major competition is the Annual Exhibition Competition into which your entries from the minor competitions may also be entered.
General Rules on Presentation for Competitions
Prints:
All prints must be mounted.Maximum size of mount permitted is 510mm x 410mm (approx 20” x 16”) anything above this size will be disqualified from the competition.
Photographs may be displayed stuck to a firm backing board without a mount,but are received better with a surrounding overmount and well protected at the rear.Please do not use “sellotape” as this can damage other photographs.
The title,entrants name,and where appropriate the category in which the print is to be entered MUST BE DISPLAYED ON THE REAR OF THE MOUNT.No lettering must be on the front of any mount.(Lettering within the photo is fine.)
For NEMPF entries only there is a minimum requirement regarding the size of the image and the club name should be seen on the rear of the mount.
Slides:
The following must be appended to the slide mount on the side facing you with the slide viewed the correct way up and the right way round.
Mark a spot in the bottom left hand corner.
Your name and the title of the entry.
For NEMPF entries only the club name must also be entered.
All slides must have proper mounts suitable for showing through the club projector,ie 35mm standard mounts.Some glass mounts could be too thick for the slide carrier,please check prior to entering.
