NEMPF New season newsletter.
07/09/07
For the interest of club members I have just received an email from NEMPF,the North and East Midlands Photographic Federation,to which IPC2000 is affiliated.I have copied the main details below.
The start of a new season is upon us. It hardly seems like we have had a summer, but we complain when it’s too hot or too cold.
This email is just a reminder to all of the events that are planned within the region as a whole and would ask that you pass this information onto your fellow club members.
Don’t forget that a full listing of events around the region and wider a field is available on the NEMPF website
http://www.nempf.org/secure/events.htm
The first reminder is about the exhibition. The closing date for entries is the Friday 26th October (19th if you submit via one of the collectors)
The NEMPF exhibition is the showcase of our regions best club photography and has had considerable support over the years, we hope this year will continue this trend. This year we have added the rules and new entry form to the website to help you get your entries in on time. You can check it out at
http://www.nempf.org/secure/exhibition.htm
MEMORIAL LECTURE AND PHOTO DAY
The event is hosted this year by Long Eaton Camera Club and promises to be great day out. There are three visits to chose from including to the Donnington Collection. Again details cane be found on the website at http://www.nempf.org/memoriallecture.htm. Book early because some of the visits have limited numbers for the group. Even if you can’t make the visits the Lecture is worth the trip to Long Eaton and it’s FREE. Make a note in your diary for Saturday 13 October 2007.
PHOTOGRAPHIC WEEKEND AND CONFERENCE
Whilst still some way off, you might like to note this event in your diary. 18th-20th April 2008. This year’s conference will be at Broomfield College near Derby. Read the reports in the latest news letter and it will surely whet your appetite to attend the next event. Details will appear on the website when available so bookmark the events page (http://www.nempf.org/secure/events.htm), this will be the most up to date list of events around the region in the world of club photography.
And finally
CLUB SLIDE COMPETITION.
We are still several months away from the club slide competition, but it’s never too early to start planning your entries. If your club hasn’t entered before give it a try, it’s a real fun event. Maybe even join up with your neighbouring club if you struggle to find the right number of entries and share the accolade.
Don’t forget if your club or local community are hosting an event that would be of interest to the any member of other clubs in the area we will be happy to help you publicise it, Email the details to web@nempf.org.
