Club Rules
=======

1 The full name of the club shall be ILKESTON PHOTOGRAPHIC 2000 CLUB,appended to Ilkeston Photo 2000 Club.

2 CLUB OBJECTIVES

2.1 To promote a broad interest in the art of photography and to actively encourage participation in photography,including video and digital images,through meetings devoted to the technicalities,practical engagement and appraisal of photography.

3 MANAGEMENT

3.1 The governing body of the Club shall be a committee that shall exercise general control of the affairs of the Club.

3.2 The committee shall consist of the Club's officers and five elected members,to be elected annually at the Annual General Meeting.

3.3 On retiring,all Officers and committee members shall be eligible for re-election.

3.4 Any vacancy arising on the committee during the year shall be filled by the committee,which has the power to co-opt.

3.5 The committee may form a sub-committee for a particular purpose.Any decision by a sub-committee affecting the policy of the Club shall be ratified by the general committee.

3.6 Four committee members shall constitute a quorum.Voting at committee meetings shall be by show of hands and simple majority.

4 OFFICERS

4.1 The Chairman shall normally preside over the meeting and undertake other duties as necessary.

4.2 One Vice Chairman shall be appointed.This Vice Chairman shall provide appropriate cover in the Chairman's absence.

4.3 The Secretary shall carry out all administrative duties and official correspondance as necessary.

4.4 The Treasurer shall be responsible for the financial matters of the Club and present occasional accounts to the committee as directed,and audited accounts to the Club at the Annual General Meeting(AGM).Cheques are to be signed by any two of the CHairman,Secretary or Treasurer.

4.6 The North and East Midlands Photographic Federation delegate(s) shall be co-opted to the committee unless already serving on the committee in another role.

5 CURRENT YEAR

5.1 The Club year shall run from the 1st October to the 30th September.

6 SUBSCRIPTIONS

6.1 Annual subscriptions shall be of such amount as the Committee determines,subject to ratification by members at the AGM.

6.2 Subscriptions are due on 1st October and must be paid by the first week in November at the latest.

6.3 The General Committee may agree to charge non-members a fee to attend any meeting.

7 MEETINGS

7.1 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
A meeting of members of the Club shall be held each year as soon as possible after 31st MArch and not later than 31st May

7.2 This meeting shall be designated the Annual General Meeting,and the business to be conducted at the AGM will include:-

a) Chairmans Report
b) Report of Secretary
c) Presentation of audited accounts.
d) Appointment of an auditor
e) Election of Officers and committee.
f) Consideration of any changes to the Club's constitution.
g) Any other matters appropriate to the AGM of the members.

7.3 EXTRAORDINARY MEETINGS

Extraordinary meetings of the members will be held for special needs if and when the committee deems necessary,or when such a meetin is requested by members and approved by at least a majority of the members present.

7.4 ORDINARY MEETINGS

Ordinary meetins of the committee shall be held regularly as the committee decides.Any member of the committee may request the Chairman to call a meeting of the committee and notice of the meeting shall be sent to all committee members by the Secretary.

8 VOTING

Voting at the AGM and Extraordinary meeting other than voting for committee officers and members,shall be by a simple show of hands with the Chairman having the casting vote.

9 AUDITOR

The Club shall appoint an Auditor,who may be a Club member,who will examine and certify the Club accounts prior to their presentation to members at the AGM.

10 WINDING UP

In the event of the Club ceasing to function,any assets,financial or otherwise,shall,after debts have been settled,be disposed of as the Club shall in a General Meeting determine.
