Chairman gracious in defeat
THE PRESENTATION
T'was the week before Christmas,The festivities had begun
Games, raffle, good food & wine,To be enjoyed by everyone.
The highlight of the evening,Was getting ready to begin
A battle between Gents and Ladies,And only one could win
Great fun and laughter, Was had by one and all
The Ladies conceded defeat,But at least they had a ball.
The Cup Presentation Was awaited patiently,
Our Chair Person Pauline rose to present
And Russell went down on one knee
Pauline was gracious in defeat, The game fairly won she said
But rather than receiving a trophy,Russell received Chardonnay, on his head !
The evening came to a close,Everyone had had a ball
Now only another 12 months to wait,Before we repeat it all
